Dear Friends and supporters;
Another week has come and gone, and we thank God for being able to continue to provide medical care and encouragement to so many here in Zimbabwe.
Steve was called to help in the surgical of a 20 year old lady who was the tragic victim of a bus accident in which her face and left arm wee badly injured. Last Saturday, he was in the operating room with eight other doctors who worked to repair and reconstruct so much of her body that had been traumatized. She is now improving, but will need further surgical intervention. Please uplift her in your prayers.
Steve, Jane, our Australian nurse friends from Perth, and our U.S. family friends, the Morgans, traveled down to the southern part of the country to Nottingham Estates once again to provide eye care services to their staff. We saw over 200 patients, examining their eyes, checking blood sugars, blood pressures, and giving out medications and glasses. It was a blessing to serve so many who have little access to medical care. Some of the photographs below show us at work in the orange packing shed, and the elephants eating the thrown out oranges at a natural amphitheater that we visited after our work.
Steve has also continued with consultations and lectures as we draw near to the end of our time here. Once again, thank you for your prayers as we continue to rely upon God for His provision and protection.
Steve and Jane Beaty
