Beaty team back to Zimbabwe

Dear friends and supporters;

We are packed and ready to depart on another mission to Zimbabwe. Please pray for Steve as he still has some gastrointestinal issues from hist last trip to Zimbabwe at the end of May. He was worried that he caught something from his cooking, but the two other men who were with him did not catch the traveller’s diarrhea that he is suffering with. We hope that that problem will be resolved very soon.

We are delighted that our daughter, Rebekah, her husband, Robby, and their three children will be joining us for a little over two weeks. Robby, a physical therapist, wants to explore opportunities in his field of knowledge and practice. He also wants to investigate ways to integrate orthopedic surgeons into work and ministry in Zimbabwe.

We will also be hosting three nurses from Australia, a pediatric ophthalmologist from Cleveland, Ohio, a group from South Africa, a retina surgeon and his son to teach surgical retina techniques and missionary friends from Maryland. It will be an exciting, but busy time of work and ministry.

So, keep us in your prayers as we prepare to board that plane on the sixteen hour flight to Johannesburg. We’ve taken our cold weather clothes to wear, especially in the cold winter nights in Southern Africa.

Thank you for your support, and for being a part of our ministry.

Steve and Jane Beaty
