Dear Friends;

Our time here in Zimbabwe continues to move rapidly. Each day here is filled with serving those in need with our skills in medicine, sharing the Good News as we are led, and working in a country and system that is broken and corrupt.

Steve had to visit the immigration office in downtown Bulawayo several days ago to receive an extension of our residency permits. After taking a large sum of money from us, they required us to make hard copies of our application that we had filled out online. We finally received from them the extension that we had requested.

Jane’s family came over to Zimbabwe to visit us. They arrived, assisted us in an eye camp, and we were able to take them to the magnificent Victoria Falls. We flew from Bulawayo to the Victoria Falls because the road is in such a terrible state of disrepair. They left back for the States with wonderful memories of their time and experiences here.

Steve has continued to work alongside Dr. Moyo, Dr. Malemane and Dr. Chimwe in both mentoring and encouraging them. He has been able to examine patients who have had surgery by all three doctors, and the post-operative state of many of them is good. We thank God for these doctors who continue to work in adverse circumstances.

Please keep us in prayer as dear friends from Birmingham, AL, Ralph and Lynn Parrish, are to arrive tomorrow to  work with us in eye camps and ministry here.
